Goodman was educated at the Duccio di Boninsegna Scuola di Arte, the Jacao della Quercia Scuola di Ceramica and the Universita di Siena Italy.She received her bachelor's degree in art from the State University College at Buffalo, New York and later earned a masters degree in art from Brooklyn College.
Her work has been featured in exhibitions across the country including The National Oil and Acrylic Painters Best of America Show 2003 where she garnered a prize. She also won a place in International Artist Magazine Challenge for her interpretation of flowers and gardens and is featured in the book "How Did You Paint That? 100 Ways to Paint Flowers and Gardens". Goodman is a member of the Oil Painters of America, The National Oil and Acrylic Painters Society and Impressionist Painters of America.
